About Us
The Greater Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau (GSCVB) was founded in 1985 to promote Massachusetts’ Pioneer Valley as a year-round destination for conventions, meetings, group tour and leisure travel. The Pioneer Valley is defined as the region encompassing Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin counties.
The GSCVB is the premiere source of tourism industry information pertaining to the Pioneer Valley. It is funded in part by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Economic Development/Office of Travel and Tourism.
The Bureau also manages a Visitor Information Center in Springfield located at 1441 Main Street and a Tourist Information Center located at The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame at 1000 West Columbus Avenue.
More than 300 organizations are currently members of the GSCVB.
