Cybersecurity Workshops for Girls

CyberSAFE Challenge, Saturday, April 22 –– 8AM-5PM
Does technology offer security? Is your information safe? Would you like to become an ethical hacker?
Cybersecurity Workshops for Girls is designed to introduce middle and high school students to Computer Forensics, Network Pentesting, Ethical Hacking, and Cryptography. Over the course of three consecutive Saturdays, girls will engage with college-aged instructors and mentors to gain insight into college and career opportunities in the growing field of Information Security. They will acquire experience using the tools and techniques commonly utilized by hackers to scan, enumerate, evade, and attack networks. Participants will be invited to practice and apply their developing skill-set to explore cybersecurity challenges and defend modern networks against cyber-attacks at the day-long CyberSAFE Challenge on Saturday, April 22. No prior coding experience is required to participate. Special thanks to media sponsor, Teentivity.com and program partner, Capital Community College.
