Uno Chicago Bar and Grill Live Music Summer Courtyard Series

This year's series will kick off May 1 and run nightly through Sept. 3, then Thursdays through Sundays from Sept. 7 to Oct. 1. There is no cover charge for these shows and the music runs 6-10 p.m. All shows are weather permitting.

Yiddish Book Center Exhibit: Beyond the Forest

to October 15. The visiting exhibit Beyond the Forest: Jewish Presence in Eastern Europe, photographs by Loli Kantor, is now open at the Yiddish Book Center. Beyond the Forest considers the re-emergence of Jewish life in a region where Jewish communities were once destroyed. Kantor, an Israeli-American photographer, took the photographs over the course of nearly a decade. Kantor will give a gallery talk about Beyond the Forest at the Yiddish Book Center at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 30.

Farmers Market at Tower Square Park

Springfield Central Downtown Farmers Market on Fridays at Tower Square Park.  The Farmers Market will begin on Friday, May 19th running until October 27th from 11:30am – 3:30pm every Friday.  The market will start off by selling wonderful locally grown greens as well as starter plants along with other products from local vendors.  The market will continue to “grow” as more home-grown produce comes into season.
