Uno Chicago Bar and Grill Live Music Summer Courtyard Series

This year's series will kick off May 1 and run nightly through Sept. 3, then Thursdays through Sundays from Sept. 7 to Oct. 1. There is no cover charge for these shows and the music runs 6-10 p.m. All shows are weather permitting.

White Lion Wednesdays

 White Lion Wednesdays begins on May 17 and runs through August 30, and features a rotating schedule, running from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at places like The MassLive Building, Tower Square Park, and The Marketplace. Norman Rockwell Museum Exhibition: Inventing America: Rockwell and Warhol

Two of America’s most important visual communicators, Norman Rockwell and Andy Warhol embraced populism, created enduring icons, shaped national identity, and opened new ways of seeing during the twentieth century. Norman Rockwell Museum will present the first exhibition to examine the artistic and cultural influence of these celebrated image-makers and the continued influence of their indelible legacies. The exhibition will explore such themes as the elevation of the ordinary; notions of an idyllic past; the culture of celebrity; and mass media and the power of visual communication. June 10 through October 29.

Springfield Museums Exhibit: Jeweled Objects of Desire

On view through December 31. Visitors of all ages will be dazzled by extraordinary gems, beautiful jewelry and fantastically embellished creations from the collections of the Smithsonian Institution. The special exhibition also features the work of internationally renowned jewelry designer Sidney Mobell, celebrated for crafting common utilitarian items into unique artworks through the use of gold and precious gemstones. Free with museum admission.

Old Sturbridge Village Presents Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

This summer, Brian Clowdus, acclaimed director of the sold-out The Sleepy Hollow Experience, joins forces with Old Sturbridge Village to bring Mark Twain’s timeless tale of Huckleberry Finn to the shores of the Quinebaug River in this epic outdoor musical production. The Tony Award-winning musical Big River will sweep audiences down the mighty Mississippi as the irrepressible Huck Finn helps his friend Jim, a runaway slave, escape to freedom at the mouth of the Ohio River. June 14 - July 9, 7:30 PM, Wednesday - Sunday, Sundays also 2PM.

All summer long CTM will hold many activities including, Trolley Rides: Take as many trolley rides as you would like operated by period dressed motormen. What it is like to operate a trolley? You can find out. From streetcars to Interurban cars this is your chance to take the controllers and let your imagination “operate”.  Crafting Station– Make a Motorman Hat or Create your own trolley fare ticket. Take your new creations home with you for future use. Dress-up Station- Dress up as a Motorman or Conductor! Great Photo op! Plus Fire Truck Museum- View over 15 Fire Trucks dating back to 1923.
