Bright Nights at Forest Park

November 22 - January 1. Closed November 27-28. Sunday to Thursday -- 5PM to 9PM Fridays, Saturdays and Holidays -- 5PM to 11PM. On weekends, kettle corn will be freshly popped and s'mores melting over open fire. Through December 22, horse-drawn wagon rides will be offered. Romantic horse-drawn carriage rides will be offered. Nov. 24-Dec. 3. The FezTival of Trees will be open on weekdays from 4 to 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Opening day is Nov. 25 with special hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visits and photo opportunities with Santa will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Springfield Museums Exhibit: Jeweled Objects of Desire

Visitors of all ages will be dazzled by extraordinary gems, beautiful jewelry and fantastically embellished creations from the collections of the Smithsonian Institution. The special exhibition also features the work of internationally renowned jewelry designer Sidney Mobell, celebrated for crafting common utilitarian items into unique artworks through the use of gold and precious gemstones. Free with museum admission.

Connecticut Trolley Museum Winterfest and “The Tunnel of Lights"

Nov 24th-26th, Dec. 1st -3rd, Dec. 8th-10th, Dec 15th-17th and Dec 22nd- 23rd, Dec. 26th -30th. Winterfest will be open from 5PM until 9PM. A new addition this is year to the trolley ride is a tree light show synchronized with music. Santa will be onsite until he heads back to the North Pole after closing on Dec. 23rd. Additionally, meet and pose for a picture with Santa inside one of the historic trolleys, Santa will also have a gift for each child.

UMass Amherst Five College Early Music Collegium

On Wednesday, November 29 at 7:30 p.m., the Five College Early Music Collegium will perform a free concert of seasonal-themed music at Grace Church. Collegium singers will be joined by the Five College Wind Band in performing music by Ludwig Senfl and Orlando Lassus, both music directors at the Bavarian court in the 16th century.
