Norman Rockwell Museum Exhibition: Never Abandon Imagination

Never Abandon Imagination: The Fantastical Art of Tony DiTerlizzi, an exhibition of works by the acclaimed illustrator/writer that will be on view at the Museum through May 28, 2018. Known for his successful book series The Spiderwick Chronicles, DiTerlizzi is widely celebrated for his images of such fantasy creatures as fairies, trolls, sprites, and goblins. The exhibition will highlight the artist’s influences and artistic process.

January 27 –May 6. Fully interactive, Human Plus offers visitors a chance to explore and create a range of low- and high-tech tools that extend the abilities of the human body! Visitors can ride a mono-ski in a simulated ski race, control a DJ station using the wheels of a wheelchair, “feel” the music with a special touch panel, engineer solutions to unique design challenges and even discover how someone can control a neuroprosthetic limb with their thoughts! Human Plus also showcases compelling stories from a unique field of engineering that helps people carry out their day-to-day routines, as well as realize their lifelong dreams.

Feb. 3-10, is the largest winter festival in Western Mass. Featuring over 40 plus town wide events including: music, food, sports, recreation, and community activities. The festival opens with an indoor 5K fun run at the Mullins Center. Later that day, there will be public skating at the Mullins Center with a UMass men's basketball game that night. Events will also be held at the Notch Visitors Center and at the Town Common with a 2,000-light Luminaria. The Grand Finale" Feb. 10 at the Cherry Hill Golf Course.
